A short drive will take you on a walk along the Ninety Mile Beach, or through a National Park filled with cool fern gullies. Another valley hides the wounderful old gold mining town to Walhalla, full of memories of a past era. From here, the Australian Alps Walking Track is accessible to the adventurous, and Lake Glenmaggie provides opportunities for swimming and boating, or just a quiet picnic. In spring, the Australian wildflowers in nearby Holey Plains State Park provide a delightful spectacle of colour.
